FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU volleyball head coach Prentice Lewis announced the signing of National Letters of Intent by a pair of outside hitters, Ashleigh Martin and Olivia Canales, to the 2015 incoming class.

Martin is from nearby McKinney, Texas, while Canales hails from Lexington, Ky., as the duo were recently recognized on Prepvolleyball.com's "The 150" list of senior aces in the class of 2015.

"Ashleigh Martin is a high-level player that will bring a lot of great experience to the team. Her international experience with the USAV National program should serve her well," coach Prentice Lewis said. "We are excited to have her and look forward to her Horned Frog future.

"Olivia Canales is extremely athletic player that hits a heavy ball. She will also be a great impact player to TCU and we are looking forward to watching her grow the next four years."

Martin played under head coach Kelly Arbabi at McKinney Boyd High School where the 6-foot-1 outside hitter helped guide the team as a sophomore to the 2012 5A Texas State Semifinals, while also earning First Team All-District honors in 2013. Martin also earned best offensive player for McKinney Boyd for four straight seasons and was named Academic All-District.

On the national stage, Martin was a member of the USAV High Performance training team in 2013 and 2014 and helped the squad earn a bronze medal at the USA Youth Team International Tournament in 2013. Martin was named to the Women's International USAV HP 2014 Championships All-Tournament Team and garnered a selection to the AVCA Phenom list.

Canales is a 6-foot-2 All-State and All-City outside hitter from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, where she also earned Academic All-State honors. Canales helped lead her team to the semi-finals of the Kentucky State tournament and collected 258 kills and had a .311 hitting clip in her senior season. For her efforts, Canales was named to the Class 3-A second-team recently and MVP of her team.
