Kramer Signs Two for 2018 Class

FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU Director of Volleyball Jill Kramer announced the signing of a pair of high school All-Americans and Texas natives in Katie Clark and élan McCall to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday afternoon.

Clark, a 6-foot-3 middle blocker, hails from Arlington, Texas and will join the team in the fall of 2018, while élan McCall is a 6-foot outside hitter from Leander, Texas who will graduate high school early and join the team in January 2018.

"Katie and élan are both very dynamic players that come with charismatic personalities,” Kramer said. “They are physical at the net, both offensively and defensively, and have been great leaders for their teams. They are also outstanding teammates and will add to the culture of our TCU volleyball family in a very positive way.”

Kramer on Clark:
“Katie has developed into one of the most dynamic utility players in the country in the 2018 class. She played middle blocker for most of her club career, but has also played on the left and right side. In high school, she played six-rotations as a middle blocker and also played on the left side. She is an outstanding blocker and can terminate from anywhere along the net.”

“élan will graduate early and join us in January, which we are very excited about. She has grown immensely as a player and as a leader the past couple of years and I believe she will acclimate quickly to academics, volleyball and life at the collegiate level. She will compete for a state title this weekend then play in the Under Armour All-American match in December before heading to TCU.”
