TCU Game Notes // Kansas State Game Notes
FORT WORTH, Texas - In their home season finale, the TCU volleyball team will welcome Kansas State for a Wednesday night tilt on November 27 at 6:30 p.m., inside the University Recreation Center.
The match against the Wildcats (17-10, 5-9 Big 12) will serve as senior night for the Horned Frogs (15-14, 3-11 Big 12), as seniors Yvonne Igodan and Fleming Smurthwaite will play in their final match at the Rec Center for TCU.
Tickets are still available for the game and fans who purchase an adult ticket will get a youth ticket for free. All popcorn will be one dollar at the match and the first 200 kids 12 and under who arrive at the Rec Center will receive a free TCU volleyball.

TCU QUICK HITS
-The Horned Frogs are looking for their first win in program history against Kansas State, as they welcome the Wildcats to the Rec Center.
-TCU came close, but ultimately fell in a five-set thriller against then-No. 24 Iowa State last week.
-The home court of the Frogs, the University Recreation Center, is one of the toughest places to play in the Big 12, as TCU averages over 1,000 fans at home and has sold out six matches this season.
-Stephanie Holland has been on an offensive streak for TCU by leading the team with 84 kills, 3.11 kills per set and a .416 hitting percentage over the last seven games.
-Yvonne Igodan and Ashley Smith are leading TCU for the season with 2.62 and 2.57 kills per set, respectively.
-Igodan and Holland rank in the top 10 in the conference in hitting percentage at No. 9 (.306) and No. 10 (.299), respectively.
-Alexia Heist and Trisha Langely are guiding the TCU offense with 616 and 454 assists, respectively, while Langley leads the team with 30 service aces.
-Shane Peters is roaming the back court as libero and leads the team with 368 digs and 3.54 digs per set.
-Mattie Burleson is taking charge at the net and is ranked No. 9 in the Big 12 in blocks per set with 1.07 and leads the team with 107 total blocks.
TCU VS. KANSAS STATE SERIES NOTES
-TCU and Kansas State are meeting for the fourth time, with the Wildcats holding a 3-0 advantage in the series.
-The teams had never played each other in program history until TCU joined the Big 12 last season.
-Kansas State swept both meetings last fall and barely took a 3-2 decision over the Horned Frogs earlier this fall in Manhattan.

BREAKING DOWN THE OPPONENT - KANSAS STATE
-Kansas State is coming off a week where the Wildcats went 1-1, with a 3-0 win over Baylor and a loss to No. 1 Texas.
-Kansas State is sitting at No. 5 in the Big 12 standings with a record of 5-9 and an overall record of 17-10.
-The Wildcats hold a 3-0 lead in the series with TCU and won the earlier matchup between the teams with a 3-2 win in Manhattan.
-All-American Kaitlynn Pelger is leading Kansas State by ranking in four top 10 Big 12 statistical categories.
-Pelger is ranked No. 9 in kills (3.06/set), No. 10 in blocks (1.04/set), No. 5 in points (3.96/set) and No. 3 in service aces (0.34/set).
-Big 12 Preseason Co-Freshman of the Year Katie Brand is dishing out the offense for the Wildcats with 1,004 assists and 10.14 assists per set.
-Courtney Traxson and Dakota Kaufman are also contributing to the Wildcat offense with Traxson putting down 2.55 kills per set, while Kaufman has chipped in 2.05 kills per set.
-Taylor Johnson has recorded 172 kill for Kansas State, but leads the team with 1.26 blocks per set, which is ranked No. 4 in the Big 12.
ATTENDANCE TO THE MAX
-Even with the max attendance set at 1,350 fans in 2012, TCU still found a way to fill the University Recreation Center match after match.
-TCU is one of only three teams in the state of Texas and the Big 12 to average over 1,000 fans in the last four years.
-In the team's home opener versus North Texas, TCU had 1,115 fans attend the game, while also recording 1,508 against Ole Miss in the closer of the team's home tournament.
-In all of TCU's Big 12 home games, the Frogs have had over 1,000 fans attend, including a program third-best 2,023 agaist Baylor, a program fourt-best 1,927 against Texas Tech, a program fifth-best 1,883 against Texas and a program eighth-best 1,782 against Oklahoma.
-The trio of Macy Capen, Alexia Heist and Sutton Sunstrum were a part of the 60 student-athletes named to the 2013 Academic All-Big 12 Volleyball Team, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
-First team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA and all three Horned Frogs earned distinction as First Team honorees for the first time in their careers.
