Tyrell Brown came to TCU in December 2021 as Director of Human Performance for Football.

Brown is theΒ Movement Specialist for football. He developsΒ and implements training programs that include speed, agility conditioning, strength training, injury prevention and prehab and flexibility. He also assists with sport psychology and lifestyle presentations for student-athletes as well as advising practice intensities based off data recorded through GPS units.

Brown is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is also an EXOS Performance Specialist.

Prior to TCU, Brown served three years at Middle Tennessee as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the menβs and womenβs tennis programs while assisting with football. Brown also worked with Troyβs football program as a graduate assistant.

Brown is a 2016 graduate of Washburn University, where he earned a bachelor of arts in exercise physiology. He was a student-athlete on the football team and a member of the programβs Leadership Council as well as Washburnβs Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.Β He was a co-founder and President of the Exercise Science Club.Β He was then an assistant strength and conditioning coach at his alma mater, working with several sports.
