Frogs host second straight Big 12 opponent to open season
FORT WORTH – Fresh off a season-opening victory over No. 6 Oklahoma State, the fifth-ranked TCU equestrian team will encounter a conference test once again in No. 8 Baylor on Thursday morning at KSM Bear Creek Farms in Burleson.
The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. at the home of the Horned Frogs, where the program has won 23 consecutive regular season meets.
This will mark the 42nd all-time matchup between the rivals, with TCU trailing the series 15-26. The Horned Frogs boast a 9-6 record at home in the series.
Last season, the two programs met twice, with TCU claiming the matchup in Burleson and Baylor winning the return meeting in Waco.

• Entering the 2025-26 season, the TCU equestrian program is amidst its winningest era.
• The Horned Frogs have posted four straight winning seasons for the first time in the Big 12 era and just the second time in program history.
STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE
• In the preseason coaches poll, TCU was placed at No. 7, marking the 13th consecutive season the Frogs have earned a spot in the preseason rankings
• Following its win over Oklahoma State, the Frogs jumped up to the No. 5 spot.
• This season, over half of TCU's meets will be against a team featured in the Preseason Top-10.
• In addition to the entire Big 12 being in the rankings, the Frogs will go against No. 1 Georgia and No. 3 Auburn to close out their fall slate as non-conference opponents.

• TCU's team leadership panel is made up of eight riders across five different categories.
•The team captain's for 2025-26 are seniors Lannie-Jo Lisac and Victoria Zahorik.

• In TCU's season opener against No. 6 Oklahoma State, Lex Lipacis earned MOP awards in both Fences and on the Flat after posting two phenomenal rides.
• She became the first Frog to win two MOPs in two different events since Giorgia Medows (Horsemanship and Reining) on March 1, 2024 against Baylor.

• Against No. 6 Oklahoma State, Lily Muzzy, Calla Thomas, Sydney Feager, Tatum Keller and Madi Lo Porto all earned their first wins of their careers.
