TCU to play 10 regular season home matches; opens season on Jan. 11 vs. ACU
FORT WORTH – TCU has again assembled one of the toughest dual match schedules in college tennis, as head coach David Roditi unveiled the Horned Frogs' complete indoor and outdoor slates.
The Horned Frogs will challenge 13 teams who reached the NCAA Tournament last season and compete at home 10 times over the course of a 20-match schedule. Nine of TCU's duals come opposite programs who cracked the top-30 of the final ITA team rankings in 2025.
TCU's home lineup is headlined by a pair of indoor bouts vs. Virginia (Jan. 15) and Baylor (Feb. 5) along with an outdoor showdown with UCF on March 27.
Fans first chance to catch the Horned Frogs arrives at the turn of the new year on Jan. 11, when TCU commences the 2026 campaign vs. Abilene Christian at the Indoor Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. TCU is staging its season-opener against the Wildcats for the fourth consecutive season, as Roditi and ACU head coach Juan Nunez are longtime friends. The Frogs most recently battled ACU in the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
The regional affair precedes the most noteworthy home match on TCU's schedule when Virginia makes the trip to Cowtown for a rematch of last season's NCAA quarterfinal. TCU survived a grueling 4-3 dual in a match that was decided on a doubles point tiebreaker and winner-take-all third set on court six. The Frogs went on to reach the NCAA Championship for the second time in as many years.
In total, six of TCU's 10 confirmed home matches are on the indoor surfaces.
Following a road trip to Tennessee on Jan. 19, TCU hosts ITA Kickoff Weekend from Jan. 24-25, with Georgia, Boise State and Tulsa comprising the Fort Worth Regional. TCU faces the Golden Hurricane in round one. The winners of the opening round matches then play for a ticket to the ITA Indoor National Championships.
TCU's first-of-two battles vs. Baylor will count as a nonconference affair. The Horned Frogs then rematch Tulsa the following day on Feb. 6.
The Frogs also make the short drive to University Park on Jan. 31 to face SMU. The match takes place at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex, one of two sites for the ITA Indoor National Championships, which run from Feb. 13-17. SMU and Baylor are serving as hosts, with the 16-team bracket divided evenly between the two sites.
TCU will go more than five weeks without playing on the purple courts following its second head-to-head with Tulsa.
The Horned Frogs will play one final indoor match on Feb. 28 at Illinois. The trek to the Midwest is the first leg of a four-match road trip.
TCU opens the outdoor portion of its season at Texas on March 7. The Frogs then head to SEC country to tangle with Florida and Georgia on March 10 and March 13, respectively. The matches vs. the Fighting Illini and Gators complete home-and-home deals between the programs. The Longhorns and Bulldogs will return the trips in 2027.
Big 12 play begins on the Bartzen Varsity Courts vs. Texas Tech on March 15. TCU then plays its final three regular season home matches following road tilts at Arizona State and Arizona on March 20-22. The Horned Frogs host BYU and Utah on April 2-4 following their anticipated matchup with UCF. The Frogs and Knights split a pair of regular season matches in 2025 before TCU blanked UCF 4-0 on super regional weekend in Fort Worth.
Rounding out TCU's regular season schedule are road trips to Oklahoma State (April 9) and Baylor (April 12).
The Big 12 Championship takes place from April 16-19 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
The NCAA Tournament begins on May 1-2 with Regionals, followed by Super Regionals on May 9.
The NCAA National Championships run from May 14-17 in Athens, Ga.
TCU returns seven letter winners from a 2024-25 squad that posted a 27-4 overall record, won the Big 12 regular season championship and finished as the NCAA national runner-up.
The Horned Frogs rank second nationally in total wins (117) and winning percentage (.879) since 2021 and will carry an NCAA-leading 34-match home winning streak into the dual season.
TCU continues the fall portion of its schedule with its penultimate invitational, the ITA Central Sectional Championships, on Nov. 6-9 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
