The primary goal of our department is to maximize the positive impact nutrition can have on performance through education on hydration, energy needs, nutrient timing & nutrient density. Education provided to student athletes revolves around evidence based research that maximizes overall sports performance & health. |

GA POSITIONS | |
When?: The Sports Nutrition Department continually hosts two GA positions. One of these positions becomes available yearly & is a two year commitment. Applications for this position are generally accepted in early February with a start date in June of the same year. What?: Provide nutritional counseling & educational services to student athletes. Maintain ongoing communications with appropriate support staff regarding nutritional issues affecting student athletes. Position includes supervisory role of Fueling Station Managers, undergraduate volunteers, & dietetic interns, in addition to administrative responsibilities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in dietetics or related field from an accredited college or university is required. At least (1) year of sports nutrition-related experience in the collegiate setting is desirable. Must be eligible for acceptance into specified graduate programs. RD licensure preferred. |

FELLOW POSITION | |

FUELING STATION POSITIONS | |
When?: The Sports Nutrition Department continually hosts (2) Fueling Station Co-Manager positions & (2) *Student (undergraduate) Fueling Station Manager positions. These positions becomes available yearly; the Co-Manager position is a one year commitment & the undergraduate student manager position has the potential to be a four year commitment (dependent upon positive reviews). Applications for this position are generally accepted in early February with a start date in June of the same year. What?: Assisting in our primary Fueling Station located in the Bob & Lily Performance Center by assisting athletes with their fueling needs, making sure all locations throughout the weight room are fully stocked & keeping the station cleaned & sanitized. Additionally, managers will be responsible for taking regular inventory & placing orders for the primary Fueling Station & our nine satellite Fueling Stations located around campus. Qualifications: Possess strong interpersonal, organizational & multi-tasking skills. Contribute to a positive team environment. Excellent communicator. Has a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift, move, push & pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 pounds. *Student Fueling Station Manager positions are only available to current TCU students & are subject to Financial Aid eligibility. |
