
TCU Finishes Sixth at Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate

McGovern, Min-Gaultier notch pair of top-20 finishes
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – TCU shot a one-under 283 in the final round of the Mercedez Benz Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Cherokee Country Club.
The Horned Frogs concluded the three-day affair at seven-over (859) and finished sixth in a 15-team field. TCU was a two-stroke swing away from placing third outright. Tournament host Tennessee notched a nine-stroke victory at 13-under (839).
Gracie McGovern and Sofia Barroso Sá each turned in under par final rounds.
McGovern shot a one-under 70 and was TCU's top individual performer, tying for 15th at even par (213).
Barroso Sá carded the Horned Frogs' low round of the day with a 69. The strong third round catapulted Barroso Sá up 13 spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 27th.
Camille Min-Gaultier tied for 17th (-1, 214) to give TCU two golfers in the top-20. Min-Gaultier made her 16th start as a Frog and has finished no worse than 25th in any tournament.
TCU led the field in pars (181) and par-5 scoring (-9, 4.88) and recorded the fewest bogeys of any team with 38.
Kirstin Angosta tied for 24th (+3, 216) after shooting a one-over 72 in round three. Sofie Dimitrova matched Angosta's scorecard on her final 18 holes and tied for 46th at nine-over.
