Swimming and Diving Announces Three Staff Additions

TCU promotes two members on the current staff and adds one externally
FORT WORTH – Carolyn Meier has been promoted to associate head coach of the TCU swimming and diving program ahead of the 2025-26 campaign, head coach James Winchester announced Friday. Two more individuals have also been added to the staff, as Jarrod Miller is expanding into a full-time role as the director of operations and Maisyn Klimczak has joined the program as a graduate assistant coach.
Most recently under the help of Meier, TCU earned 14 medals at the Big 12 Championships, as both the men's and women's team took home fourth-place finishes. Filip Suchanski went on to the NCAA Championships, where he competed in the 200 back and 400 IM. A total of 17 student-athletes from the program went on to garner All-Big 12 honors for the 2024-25 season.
During the 2023-24 campaign, the Horned Frogs swept the National Invitational Championship, winning both the men's and women's title for the first time in its program history. TCU then went on two have two athletes represent them in the Summer Olympics for the first time since 2016, as Rhanishka Gibbs and Jadon Wuilliez took their talents to Paris.
The 2022-23 season was historic with three TCU athletes competing in the NCAA Championships. David Ekdahl and Jadon Wuilliez both competed in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard and 100 breaststroke, respectively. Alec Hubbard finished in 22nd place in the platform becoming the highest finishing diver at the NCAA Championships in TCU history.
In her first season at TCU, Meier aided the Horned Frogs in a historic season for the swimming and diving program. At the Big 12 Championships alone, five program records were broken and both the men's and women's team placed in the top three of the conference.
Meier comes from Ithaca, N.Y. where she served as an assistant coach at Cornell. She worked on a coaching staff that saw immense success, helping lead to seven school records and 50 all-time top 10 performances.
Prior to working at Cornell, Meier served as a graduate assistant coach at La Salle University where she earned her master's degree in education. Not only did La Salle swimmers set 15 school records in her time with the program, but she also helped coach over 20 individual finalists at the Atlantic 10 Championships.
Miller is no stranger to TCU, spending the past two years as a graduate assistant within operations. After his newly appointed role as director of operations, Miller will be looking after spending logistics and day to day operations for the program, which includes things such as budget, travel, meals, compliance and administrative duties.
Klimczak comes from the University of Wyoming, where she spent four years swimming for the Cowboys. Her main discipline was freestyle swimming, competing in both medium and long-course events. She holds top-10 times in Wyoming's program history in the 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free and 1650 free.
Klimczak is the daughter of Stanley and Gretchen and has four siblings, Victoria, Stanely, Cameron and Jaclyn.
