Beauchamp Leads Frogs after Opening Day at Colonial

FORT WORTH – Senior Jack Beauchamp continued his solid play, finishing Monday's first two rounds of the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational presented by Charles Schwab in 19th place.
Beauchamp, who last time out tied a career best with a third-place finish at the Bearcat Invitational, had rounds of 2-over 72 and even-par 70.
At 2-over 142, Beauchamp leads Charlie Wylie, who had rounds of 2-over 72 and 1-over 71, by one stroke.
Freshman Nathan Miller and senior Toby Wilt both shot 4-over 144 and are tied for 32nds place.
In a tournament that features 13 of the nation's top 25 teams, the Horned Frogs are in 11th place at 13-over 573. TCU shot three strokes better in the second round.
The Frogs will play the final round starting at 8:45 a.m. off hole No. 10. Admission at Colonial Country Club is free.
