Goldstein records career-high ride on the Flat
FORT WORTH – Seventh-ranked TCU equestrian dropped a contest to No. 3 Auburn, 12-6, on Friday at KSM Bear Creek Farms.
The Tigers (3-1, 0-1 SEC) claimed Fences, Horsemanship and Flat, while the Frogs claimed a 3-0 win in Reining. Picking up MOPs for TCU (2-3, 2-1 Big 12) were Lilly Goldstein in Fences and Cassie Hacking in Reining.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In Fences, the Tigers opened up a 4-1 lead thanks to a couple of double-digit wins. However, Goldstein scored an 87 to earn a win and a MOP, the first of her season.
The Frogs fought back in Reining, with Calla Thomas, Sydney Sargent and Hacking all taking victories, with the other two ending in ties. Hacking's score of 73 was good enough to earn MOP honors on the day.
In Horsemanship, Auburn lengthened its lead by picking up four points, with Piper Keller being the lone point scorer for the Frogs.
Despite multiple high scores, the Tigers were able to prevail with four points on the Flat to secure the victory. Goldstein earned the win, and had a season-high score of 94.

- Lilly Goldstein's score of 94 on the Flat is the tied for the fourth-best ride in program history, and she is the first Frog to eclipse 90 since Lex Lipacis did against No. 5 Oklahoma State on March 29, 2025.
- TCU is now 2-10 all-time against Auburn and has lost eight straight.
- TCU had its 24-meet home winning streak snapped.
