Frogs Finish Fifth at Carmel Cup

TCU had three inside the top 20

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – Three Horned Frogs finished inside the top 20 as TCU's men's golf team tied for fifth place following Sunday's final round of the Carmel Cup at Spyglass Hill Golf Course.

Brothers Toby and Hudson Wilt tied for 15^th place at 1-under 215. It came after each shot even-par 72 on Sunday.

Freshman Nathan Miller and sophomore Charlie Wylie also shot even par. Miller earned a top 20 finish in his collegiate. He tied for 19^th place at even-par 216. Wylie finished five shots back of Miller in 31^st place at 5-over 221.

Jack Beauchamp finished tied for 33^rd place at 7-over 223 following a round of 3-over 75.

As a team, the Frogs shot 3-over 363, three better than in round two. Overall, TCU tied with No. 15 Texas Tech at 7-over for the tournament. No. 12 Vanderbilt (-17) was the tournament champion.

TCU will next be in action Sept. 15-16 at the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
